Food Bank, The Dominion

This illustration was made for August cover of The Dominion. This is a local scene here in Hamilton where people line up for food, a sign that times are tough for many. Apparently the Good Shepherd Centers food bank has experienced an overwhelming demand in the past year, due to worsening economic times. The sign on the door reveals that food is given out daily until the day's "quota" is met. I suppose this measure is to prevent a run on the food bank in hard times. It's a reminder that food banks have a limited supply of food, too.
